Undergraduate Applicants

To ensure total consideration for all Penn State scholarships, undergraduate applicants should submit their application prior to Nov 30 and complete their School of Music audience on or before January 30. Students who are determined to be academically ineligible for admission will not be permitted to audition. The School of Music will contact you to abolish your audition.

Incoming First Year and Transfer Applicants

There is a 4-step application process:

  1. Apply for access to the academy online through the Common Application, the Coalition Application, or Penn State's own application .
  2. Schedule your School of Music audience in Acceptd . Accepted students will be eligible for a graduate assistantship that will cover all tuition plus a stipend. Graduate students in acting and directing may teach Theatre 100 and/or Theatre 102 in addition to other assignments.
